4 PREPS

Featuring original lead singer and co-founder, Bruce Belland, this fabulous 50’s group still brings audiences to their feet. Starting in 1954, the “Preps” soon began their star-studded career with their million-selling song ”26 Miles” (about Catalina) followed by 100 other top hits, including “Roses and Lollipops” and “Big Man.” Besides Belland, the group includes high tenor Bob Duncan from the famous “Diamonds” and Michael Redman from the ”Crew Cuts.” They were recently featured on a PBS special, “Magic Moments.” Their performance here will be accompanied by a three-piece combo.

BRASS ROOTS TRIO

Symphonic Sounds that melt into Sultry Jazz, Piazzola, Gershwin, Brubeck, Copeland plus Beethoven and Verdi….and the unexpected surprise of an operatic tenor! Consisting of piano, French horn and trumpet, these musicians have performed across the country and around the world. Their U.S. performances include the White House, Metropolitan Opera, Broadway, TV, radio, recordings, film, symphonies and orchestras.

FELICI PIANO TRIO
February 14, 2015, Saturday, 7:30 pm

The Felici Trio is the musical home of Belgian pianist Steven Vanhauwaert, German violinist Rebecca Hang and American cellist Brian Schuldt. Felici members are prize winners of multiple music competitions world-wide. The vibrant threesome has performed over 300 concerts in Europe, South America and the U.S. plus they have recorded eleven CD’s. They are a grantee of Chamber Music America's Rural Residencies Program and California Arts Council's Touring ensembles.

We are proud to be presenting our own High School musicians for the 5th year! These bands have now gone to the highest level in Band performance awards in the County. Their musicianship and virtuosity is akin to a professional symphony.

 

RAGGLE TAGGLE CELTIC BAND
March 21, 2015, Saturday, 7:30 pm

Their rich tapestry of sounds creates a fun concert with Celtic flavor, and only 4 days after St. Patrick’s Day! The lively performance features costumes and songs including jigs, reels and shanties of England and Ireland, plus Step Dancers. Lead, Mike Stewart, does guitar and vocals and has won a San Diego Emmy for his music arranging. The band includes guitar, violin, flute, banjo, bass, mandolin and piano. The Raggle Taggles perform at most San Diego civic events and venues in addition to Hotels, Conventions and Las Vegas.
